When you come from outside, on these very hot summer days, you’re sweating – I mean, perspiring, and you might think your body is moist to the max.  When our very pores seem to be secreting water, it’s only natural to think so.

Surprisingly, the opposite is true.

When we’ve been out in the hot sun, and are sweating like pigs, we are actually LOSING moisture, not proving that we have any.

In summer, I used to use astringents on my face to cool myself off, especially after coming into the house after working in the yard, etc. The evaporating alcohol felt so good, but the effect didn’t last very long.
